BGI Europe A/S is a subsidiary of BGI Genomics, which is the world's leading provider of genomic sequencing andproteomic services. BGI Europe was founded in 2010, the business is mainly focused on the EU market. It offers services in Exome Sequencing, Clinical Exome Sequencing, Transcriptome Sequencing, RNA Sequencing, and NGS laboratory support. Currently, we have a team of 22 people based in Denmark. As a laboratory tester/technician, you will be working with scientists on many analytical development projects.

About the Job: We are currently seeking 1 new technician to become part of the team that works in our lab.

The job content includes:

1. Mainly engaged in performing molecular biology experiments, mostly related to Next Generation Sequencing, and strictly follow SOP. Fill in record according to record management requirements.
2. Maintain equipment in accordance with Equipment SOPs, include daily maintenance and regular maintenance.
3. Analyze and solve simple problems in daily experiments. Report timely of an abnormal situation occurred inan experiment to the group leader. Actively and accurately deal with emergencies during the experiments.
4. Assist the team with experimental preparation, such as reagents preparation, sample preparation, etc.5.
Assist QA department to maintain Quality Management System, such as records archive, cooperate with QA department to investigate the root cause and prepare corrective and preventive actions when non-conformity found.
6. Participate in technique optimization and prepare SOPs afterward.

The ideal candidate is an educated lab technician with a demonstrated background in Biomolecular Technology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biochemical or related scientific/technical career. In addition to the above mentioned, the ideal candidate should have:

1. One year or more of work experience in a related field is preferred.
2. Work experience with ISO 15189, ISO 17025 or other quality management systems is preferred.
3. Familiar with molecular biology experiments, Such as DNA/RNA extraction, Electrophoresis, PCR, DNA Fragmentation, QPCR, liquid handling automation workstation.
4. Effective interpersonal communication skills are required.
5. Work effectively both individually and within a team.
6. Hold a Danish work permit.
