Want to join one of the leading architectural firms in the world? As People & Culture Director, you will become the Director of our Copenhagen-based People team, who are currently running the People initiatives in the Copenhagen, Zürich and Shenzhen offices. The Director will also be a part of the Copenhagen Management team reporting to the Managing Director. Additionally, you will be a sparring partner for BIGs CEO on global People initiatives.
As our new People & Culture Director, you will act as the overall responsible for developing and executing the initiatives and strategies.
An immediate focus for this role is to develop and execute our people development strategy for our employees. We want to offer our employees an environment of continuous learning and targeted skillset training by facilitating talent and leadership programs on all levels of our organization.
Primary areas of responsibility
As People and Culture Director, you and the current People team consisting of a People Engagement Partner, a People Attraction Partner and a People Coordinator, will be overall responsible for all employee related matters in the Copenhagen, Zürich and Shenzhen offices. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Take part in the Copenhagen management team to align on strategic, tactical and operational initiatives including building and maintaining a competent organization
- Drive initiatives in learning, inclusion, diversity & talent management
- Conduct training of leaders, self-development programs and strategize on use of employee’s educational funds to elevate the competencies in our office.
- Support BIGs CEO on global initiatives, process and policy updates and coordination with People teams in London, Barcelona and New York offices
- Provide support for personnel stationed in European project offices
- Leadership and management of the People and Culture team
- Manage department budget and annual planning of duties and new initiatives as well as resource planning in collaboration with the People team
- Execute our annual wheel activities including e.g., union agreements, salary regulation process, performance calibration, development feedback and other employees related activitiess
- Ensure compliance with external regulations and union agreements
- Act as the chief liaison to all the administrative departments.
- Be a representative of BIG values and ambitions
The ideal candidate:
- Has up to 10 years of experience working with operational HR in larger and, preferably creative organizations
- Easily translates business strategy and needs into a relevant people agenda and communicates the agenda with excellence.
- Has a successful track record in driving strategic projects, cultural or behavioral changes in a complex, multi-cultural environment
- Has the ability to engage, align, inspire and move people to act – at all levels
- Thrive in an international fast-paced organisation working in rapidly changing environments
- Has excellent communication skills and is fluent in English and Danish
BIG Copenhagen are currently preparing to move into our new own designed Headquarter Office in Nordhavn. Therefore, it's relevant to consider the new address as place of work.
